Tanya Dann - Artist
Tanya Dann is a multimedia artist living on Stewart Island. She has exhibited throughout the country for nearly 20 years and has amassed an extensive body of work in a variety of different disciplines, media and styles.
Her current focus is on 3 different areas.
- Photo-realistic graphite portraits of people and pets, which she does on a commission basis.
- Her long running ‘Stripy Series’ where colours are extracted from photos or scenes to represent a memory or place and expressed in a geometric form.
- Her latest works use a specific restricted colour palette and form a series which she calls ‘The Abstraction Series’.
